I have often seen talk shows where the host talks about senior actors and reminisce their work. Which till there is absolutely fine but somehow very often the discussion leads to the comparison between young actors & veteran actors. In most cases very discouraging  remarks are given to the younger lot. They are stereotyped by considering  all of them non serious and popular due to just the social media.

It is really unfair to discredit their hard work.So let’s give a shout out to some of the very industrious actresses who are entertaining us with power packed performances.

IQRA AZIZ:

I don’t think  after “Suno Chanda” there is need to remind readers who is she. Iqra aka Ajiya Nazakat won our hearts in Ramadan series “Suno Chanda”. She  has excellent  comic timings.Her irritation was palpable when she fought with Arsal,their romance made us smile and their wedding made us cheer for them. Such was the impact of her flawless
performance  in the series.

However  Suno Chanda is not the only project to talk about when it comes to Iqra.she has number of other performances worth mentioning  here. Be it the Seedhi Sadhi Amina  in

“Choti Si Zindagi” or Noor Bano in” Ranjha Ranjha Kar Di” she performed each character  brilliantly.She has very strong screen presence.

We hope we will see the young talented girl in many more unforgettable  characters  in future .

SONIYA HUSSAIN:

In my opinion the actress is still underrated and needs to get recognized  for her outstanding  performances.

One of her unforgettable  performance was in “Shikwa” aired on ARY Digital in 2014. The character  had so many phases. How she loathes  getting married to an older man at the same time feels insecure  when her husband gets close to the other woman. She portrayed natural emotions of a young confused girl very well.

Her recent play “ Meri Guriya” was based on child  abuse. She played role of a  fearless woman determined to bring  justice to the victim.

She has list of successful  projects such as Angan, Marasim, Ishq Zahay Naseeb and many more.

Her performance is mature, expressive and she gets in to the skin of the character. She convinces to feel what she as a character  is going through. I wish her all the best for future projects.

YUMNA ZAIDI:

I would say she is the most underrated  actress at this time in the industry. She possess  excellent  acting skills and has grown with each project. I see such a remarkable  growth from a young peppy  character  like Hayat in “Yeh Raha Dil” to  Aimen in “Dil Kia Karay” a widow determined to avenge her husband’s murder. Ofcourse umber of other projects between these two like Mausam ,Rishtay kuch Adhoray Sai, Zara Yad  kr etc.

The recent performance  which truly  won my heart and might I say I cannot “Inkaar“from the fact that how well she has performed in it.I am talking about her serial Inkar ( in case u didn’t get it?) .She as Hajra exhibited strength  and made people fall in love with her.You cry with her when she is in  pain sharing her turmoil with her dad lying pale in the hospital.and yes you cheer her victory at the end. That is how brilliantly she has performed.

I hope Yumna gets the appreciation  she deserves and we get to see her in many more projects.

SAJJAL ALI:

I  really doubt my words would do justice to describe  exactly how good is  Sajjal Ali.She is truly a gem.She started her career in 2011 in Mehomadabad Ki Malkayain and since then there was no looking back.

She has done variety of roles like Qudsiya in “ Asmano pir likha” and ofcourse her fans would hate me for not mentioning Dr.Zubia in blockbuster “ Yakeen Ka Safar”.

But for me her most remarkable  performance  was in “ O Rangreeza”. Oh my God the character had so many layers.

Starting  from a determined girl who is ready to go out and  grab what ever she wants from life until reality hits her hard.

Her changing relationship  with her father ,hate to love journey for Qasim. To perform all the highs and lows of the character  and that too with such brilliance, hats off to Sajjal.

To get fame at such a young age and not let it get on head is not easy. Yet Sajjal has always kept her feet grounded. We have never seen the young actress compromise quality  over quantity. If you are looking for a good drama to start on YouTube and cant make up your mind here is a suggestion  pick any of Sajjal’s play and your are bound to get entertained.

Our dramas are liked  for close to reality stories .Good stories with the combo of such actresses  are what keeps us hooked to our sofas.
