Dark circles are a very common problem among men women. The skin under the eyes is very delicate and so any little disturbance for that part immediately results in dark circles.
There are several factors that cause the dark circles under your eyes.
Let’s discuss the prominent ones
You are a night owl
If you have the habit of staying up late at night there is a pretty good chance that you will end up having dark circles. There is a number of tissues under your eyes. One of them is known as dark tissues. When you make yourself deprive yourself of sleep the dark tissues eventually start becoming prominent under the eyes. Lack of sleep is also a cause of puffy eyes. When you are sleeping less than the normal set of hours a fluid starts to accumulate under the eyes. As the fluid increases, it results in making your eye look puffy and swollen.
Put that screen down
Well, I can’t put emphasis on this point as I have a screen right now in front of me and so sooner or later I would probably end up running for a concealer to hide the unavoidable dark circles under my eyes. The reason for this is that when you have a cell phone or laptop screen right in front of your eyes. You don’t realize but you are putting a lot of strain on the eyes. This strain results in enlarging the numerous vessels present under your eyes. The enlarged vessels will appear as dark circles.
Take out those Sunglasses
You are probably very keen to put sunblock as soon as you are stepping out of the home. News flash: protecting your skin from the sun’s rays is just not enough. You have to protect the eyes as well. Exposure to the sun’s rays might result in losing the pigmentation of the area under the eyes. The lost pigmentation is what will take the appearance of dark circles.
Time to get a doctor’s appointment
Whenever I write about tips to beautify skin or fight any skin-related issue I always emphasize a certain point. The outer applications will never give you maximum benefit until you make sure that everything internally is doing fine. Dark circles can also be a result of a low level of hemoglobin in the body. If you think you are avoiding other factors causing the dark circles and yet you have them please don’t procrastinate and get a doctor’s appointment as soon as possible.
Other than avoiding the above points there are many recipes that you can try at home to get rid of those unpleasant dark circles.
Let’s have a look at a few of them
- Cucumber juice and lemon juice
Time to pamper your delicate skin with the soaked cotton balls. Take a small amount of cucumber juice and squeeze lemon drops in it. Please make sure to dab the cotton ball very carefully under the eyes so you don’t end up agitating the eyes due to the lemon drops. Let it stay there for a while and then gently remove it with a clean piece of cloth and rinse your face afterward.
- Bring in a potato
Potatoes are incredibly rich in vitamin C and so the delicate area around the eyes can benefit from the potato’s juice. The application is the same as applying the first mixture.
- Coconut oil
Take a small amount of coconut oil in a bowl and dip your fingertips in the liquid. Message the area under your eyes with the tips of your fingers. Keep in mind that area is very delicate so make sure that you rub it very gently. Go for circular motion. Unlike the above-mentioned mixtures.
