The story opened up with the birth of Parizad as the fourth sibling in a lower-middle-class family, where the father seemed less interested in his birth. Mother had some humbleness for him so she named him Parizad even he was not a cute and beautiful baby as depicted by the storyline. His journey of life conveyed that poverty is the major concern in leading him to troubles and taunts from the community.
As Parizad is a sensitive character so he gets hurt quickly, he realizes that poverty is the main trait in adding to his deprived situations. Parizad was not attractive to others by looks but he was an aesthete and became a poet. Many girls came into his life but he couldn’t make it because of his poverty, situation, shy nature and gloominess in life.
He realizes the fact that money can mask his ugliness so he manages to earn a lot and then come back to his town. The people starting being attracted to him and give him more reverence as he is a rich person now. Parizad, as an aesthete intended towards female characters one by one, but couldn’t make it as he was failing to mask his face. When he can mask his face in the closing of the drama then he realizes that people are honouring not Parizad but his finances. All in all, Parizad lost his life at the end, which is the peaking gloominess in the whole play. The story reaches the end with the high opinion of self-actualization that a person is not able to spend his life, the way he intends to.
