The Pakistani television industry has its original roots in the golden era of PTV. The PTV remained a platform for most of the renowned names in the legendary Pakistani television industry. Some of the popular names in this regard are Bushra Ansari, Saba Hamid, Rubina Ashraf and Badar Khalil.

Bushra Ansari
Bushra Ansari was born in 1956 in Karachi. Her father was a famous filmmaker, Ahmed Bashir. She is spending a happy life with Iqbal Hussain. Bushra is continuing her acting career. You may see her in celebrity shows and media.
Acting Career: Bushra Ansari started her career at the age of nine years only as a singer and actor in the song “Kaliyon Ki Mala”. She started regular singing and comparing in the program “Kaliyan” in 1976. She performed as an actress in the play “Rishtey Aur Naatey” in 1976. Chatley Chatley, Fifty Fifty, Angan Terha, Comedy Comedy and Sang Choor were popular plays of the 1980s. She anchored shows with Moin Akhtar and Anwar Maqsood, like Loose Talk. In 2005, she gave a tremendous role in Kuch Dil Ne Kaha. She became a judge in Pakistan Idol in 2014. She did some movies too, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Ho Maan Jahan got high audience. Bushra delivered commendable performance in Hum TV play Udaari.

Saba Hameed
Saba Hameed was born in 1957 in Lahore. She is residing in Pakistan, you may see her off and on in shows.
Acting Career: Saba Hameed started her career in 1978 in the Pakistani drama industry on the platform of PTV. She appeared in popular plays in the 1980 and 1990s. Sitcom of 1990s Family Front gave her high popularity for acting skills. Her popular plays from the 2000 era were Aatish, Dil e Muztar, Bhool, and Mere Mohsin. Saba worked in some movies like Kaaf Kangna, Main Ik Din Lout Kay Aoungi, and Good Morning Karachi. She did some good movies like Punjab Nahin Jaoungi and Pyar Ki Love Story from 2017.

Rubina Ashraf
Rubina Ashraf was born in 1959 in Lahore. She married Tariq Mirza. She is leading a happy life, residing in Pakistan. Rubina is not doing any acting project nowadays. She is focusing more as a director and producer.
Acting Career: Rubina Ashraf started her acting career from the second actress role in Aur Dramay on PTV. She got popularity from play Sawan Roop. She did in most of the plays in the 1980s and 1990s. The popular play Pas e Aina gave her fame on PTV and audience developed interest for her. She gave tremendous skills of acting in her dramas. Audience have high interest for her. She is a renowned speaker and compare.

Badar Khalil
Badar Khalil was born in 1944. Badar left Pakistan and resided in Canada with her son. She appears on television every now and then.
Acting Career: Badar Khalil started her career from Ankahi, the renowned classic play of its time. Other great plays of her time were Dhoop Kinarey, Half Plate, and Marvi. However, Bi Jamalo gave her popularity and accent to her acting. She played in some movies too, Yeh Dil Apka Hua and Khuley Asman Kay Nichey were her popular movies.
