We bring you a very easy way to make ALO KI BHUJYA. This is a staple diet for all Pakistanis and a house hold name. This is a quick dish that serves the purpose of not only fulfilling your tummy but also making you happy as well.

INGREDIANTS
- Number of potatoes as per required. Take 4 to 5 large potato and make thick slices. Do not make thin slice otherwise they will dissolve while cooking. This will serve about 2 to 3 people.
- Slice 2 medium sized onions
- One (1) table spoon of ginger paste
- One & a half (1 & 1/2) table spoon of garlic paste
- Chop 3 medium sized tomatoes
- Half (1/2) table spoon of turmeric powder
- One (1) table spoon of red chilli powder or as per your taste
- Two (2) table spoon of fenugreek leaves (meithi). This step can be skipped as some people do not put fenugreek leaves (meithi) in this dish.
- One and a half (1 & 1/2) table spoon of cumin seeds.
- One (1) table spoon of Nigella Seeds (Kalonji)
- Half (1/2) cup of cooking oil
- Water One (1) or Two (2) glasses

RECIPE
- Heat the pan with cooking oil until the oil is hot.
- Add the sliced onions in the pan and you should hear a sizzling noise.
- Add ginger paste to the pan.
- Add garlic paste to the pan.
- Fry onions, ginger & garlic till it turns golden brown.
- Add cumin seeds to the pan.
- Add Nigella Seeds (Kalonji) to the pan.
- Add dried fenugreek leaves (meithi) to the pan.
- Add tomatoes to the pan.
- Add salt as per taste to the pan.
- Add turmeric to the pan.
- Add red chilli mix to the pan.
- Mix all the ingredients well so they are fully mixed with each other.
- Wait for 2 to 3 minutes on high flame.
- Add potatoes to the pan and mix it well so all the masala is marinated with the potatoes.
- Wait for 1 minute.
- Add water to the mix and cook on medium flame till the potatoes are cooked and the water is dried.
- You can add green chilli at the end as garnish.
- You can also add mint leaves as garnish.
- Serve the dish hot and enjoy.
