Winter is all about adding layers to the clothes to protect our selves from the chilling wind. Let’s explore together how to that while looking elegant.
CARDIGANS
We say farewell to easy breezy chic styles when summers come to end. However it doesn’t mean that we have to go out of style with the arrival of winter. The cold weather calls for more sophisticated and graceful fashion.
One of the most common piece of clothing in winter is cardigan. It gives number of options to play with the style while wearing it. Long cardigans look very nice with a pair of jeans. They easily transform a casual look to a formal one. Long cardigans look very elegant on shalwar kamiz too. They add length to the overall look of the dress making you look lean and smart.
You are in mood to show off your dress a little bit and so you think a long cardigan would hide your dress that is no problem you can opt for a waist length cardigan. They come in various sizes giving the chance to play with the look. Even the sleeves have a range of choices from full to mind length and completely sleeveless ones.
SHAWLS
For me shawl is the first thing that comes in mind when I hear the word “winters”. It is another fabulous piece of clothing to add layer in the cold weather. Shawls offer a variety of range for the fashion lovers to choose from.
Velvet Shawls
I don’t think so I need to explain what a velvet shawl is as it is all the rage nowadays. It looks very royal and serves the main purpose of adding layer in the winter. You can have one really good embellished shawl in a dark tone and you have a perfect piece of clothing to carry with literally all the clothes.
Pashmina Shawls
Pashmina shawls are very light to carry and of-course a very beautiful piece to look at. One can carry it with all kinds of clothes.
Kashmiri Shawls
These shawls have lots of embroidery on them. They are very colourful. They offer wide variety of designs from circles to floral and much more. A simple suit can have a total change of look with a big Kashmiri shawl on it.
Bridal Shawls
If you are about to become a winter bride don’t worry you don’t have to miss on carrying a shawl. Brides carry big shawls that are usually in contrast to the colour of bridal outwear. The idea is to make shawl more prominent and so usually a darker tone is chosen to compliment the dress.
Some other options to add layers in the winter is to go for jackets. They are preferred when you are going for a western outfit. There is a wide range of jackets from leather jackets to biker jackets and the list goes on.
Long over coats are another style that change the entire look of the out fit. A single good quality over coat with the right colour is more than enough for one winter season.
Ponchos are another unique clothing to cover your self from the cold chill and maintain a very classy look for winter season. Ponchos are very easy to carry and can be easily taken off if you feel hot at a crowded place.
Scarfs are another choice to go for in the winter. If you don’t like to carry big shawls you can go for scarfs. They can be taken in various styles. They are especially good for keeping the neck area warm.
