5 Simple Tips for Weight Loss in Ramadan

Ramadan is a very sacred month for the Muslims of all over the world. Muslims spend this holy month by doing fasting. The holy month of Ramadan is just one month away and there is a supposed thought that fasting can help to reduce weight. Because normally people eat three times a day and in Ramadan people takes only two meals one is Sehri also called ‘Suhur’ (the meal taken before sun rise) and one is called Iftari (the meal taken on the completion of the fast at the time of sun set). The fact is that people eat a lot of food in these two times that cause’s weight gain in most of the people. The other thing is that a lot of fried food is served in iftar almost every day in Ramadan. If you want to lose weight in Ramadan then you need to follow these 5 simple tips that can help you to lose weight in the sacred month of Ramadan:

1. Avoid spicy and fried food

You need to eat the healthiest food at the time of Sehri and try to avoid the food that has a lot of spices and especially fried food. Fried food and meat with fats are truly not recommended in Ramadan because they are totally unhealthy.  You can replace your spicy and fried food with dates, fruits, vegetables, yogurt, milk or with any healthy food item.

2. Don’t miss your Sehri meal

Do not miss your sehri meal at any cost because taking meals on right times not only good for health but it also provides strength to the body. If you skip the sehri meal so it decreases your metabolic rate and because of this the process of burning fats slows down.

3. Use a lot of water, juices and butter milk

It is very important to drink as much water as possible in the hours when you are not fasting like from sunset to before sun rise. Water, fresh fruit juices and butter milk will help to protect your body from dehydration and the chances to weigh loss will also increases.

4. Keep your body active

Mostly people become lazy in Ramadan and prefer to do less work then normal routine. It is very important if you will perform simple exercises like sit ups, walk, squats or pushups in Ramadan. It will not only help you to be active but also increases the process of fat burning.

5. Try to control yourself

Try to control yourself. If you will be able to control yourself then you can achieve any goal related to your health. If you will go for an Iftar party there are a lot of food items to eat and if you cannot control yourself on eating so you cannot be able to lose weight.
